Where to eat




Fifteen years ago, Asian cooking was the trend in Stockholm. Five years ago it was crossover cuisine. Then came Middle Eastern, with couscous and meze. Today it’s no longer possible to identify such specific trends. Stockholm has matured as a restaurant city, and you can count on finding any cuisine you like. If you had to name one trend, it might be brasseries, currently the biggest crowd pleaser. Stockholm hasn’t eaten so much Béarnaise sauce in 30 years. Gourmets can choose between six restaurants with Guide Michelin stars: Edsbacka Krog, Fredsgatan 12, Operakällaren and Wedholms Fisk.
