On 19 December, the new monthly nightclub Deco opens its doors with a major party featuring Michael Mayer (Germany/Kompakt) and Tim Sweeney (USA/DFA). With Deco, Group LocoMotives, Bing Productions and Nordic Light Hotel plan to fill a dark hole in Stockholm’s nightclub life by combining the big techno sound with the latest from the world of disco.

Michael Mayer – producer, frontman and A&R for perhaps the world’s biggest techno label – Kompakt. No other record company is as synonymous with ethereal and outstanding dance music. Mayer will be haunting the dance floor of Light Factory with mellow synth riffs and dark baselines.
On the other dance floor there will be music of a different kind, provided by Tim Sweeney from New York, whose Internet radio channel ‘Beats in Space’ has attracted hundreds of thousands of listeners the world over. Tim will be filling the lobby with mellow disco classics. His DJ set takes you through German 80s body, sunshine hits, the disco hits of tomorrow, and undulating deep house numbers – which has got hipster institutions around the world celebrating.
