In connection with the Japanese theme at the Stockholm Furniture Fair, Nordic Light Hotel will expose a furniture installation made by Swedish designers working for the Japanese Interior Companies Ricordi Sfera and ASKUL. The installation will be available for the public until May, 2006.Naoto Fukasawa, 49, has worked with companies such as Muji, Apple, Epson, B&B Italia and NEC. His design work has been awarded some 50 prizes. Fukasawa has a broad design background; he has drawn mobile phones, cd-players and domestic appliances, but also furniture for famous companies like Driade and Magis, as well as lighting for Artemide. Fukasawa works as a design consultant for large Japanese companies, but has also written two books and also works as a guest professor at the Tama Art University.“For the sixth year running, Nordic Light Hotel is the official hotel and partner for the Stockholm Furniture Fair. Nordic Light Hotel will also have many of the speakers, special invited foreign media representatives and many of the festival’s visitors staying at the hotel. The hotel will also function as meeting place outside the fair and be host for two of the party nights during the week.
