During Stockholm Design Week, design journalists, designers, architects, furniture producers and those interested in design will be gathering at Nordic Light Hotel to see the latest in Swedish design, make contacts and exhibit their work. This year’s guest designer is Monica Förster, now one of Sweden’s most successful designers, who will be transforming Nordic Light Hotel into a huge aviary this winter.

LIGHT NOW – MONDAY 2/2 - A seminar on the significance of light in design and architecture, organised by FutureDesignDays and Nordic Light Hotel. The seminar will be held at the World Trade Center, and will be followed by food and a mingle evening at Nordic Light Hotel. SWEDISH STYLE –TUESDAY 3/2 – exhibition featuring a selection of Sweden’s most well-established designers, who have been invited to show us where Swedish Design is heading. The exhibition at Nordic Light Hotel’s new venue, Light Factory, will continue until 8 February, and is open to the public. Opening and party until 2.00 a.m. on Tuesday evening. The names of all the participating designers will be released in mid December.

MONICA FÖRSTER AT NORDIC LIGHT - WEDNESDAY 4/2 – Opening party for this year’s guest installation at Nordic Light Hotel. Perhaps with Alfred Hitchcock’s film “The Birds” in mind, Monica has created an installation that we can recommend to everyone, except perhaps those with ornithophobia. Monica will also be presenting a completely new product, which has been developed in conjunction with the installation. FORM US WITH LOVE AND MITAB - THURSDAY 5/2 – The design trio Form Us With Love, Mitab and Nordic Sea Hotel present a new collection of hotel furniture in the lobby at Nordic Sea Hotel. The furniture collection has been developed in a collaboration between the hotel, manufacturer and designers in order to design the ultimate hotel furniture, and it will be permanently on display in the lobby of Nordic Sea Hotel.
