Nordic Light Hotel shines its light on Italy’s Moroso

Moroso in nordic lightItalian furniture company Moroso has chosen to showcase its products in a living, permanent setting at Nordic Light Hotel during Stockholm Design Week.

After Stockholm Design Week, the installation will remain at Nordic Light Hotel throughout the spring and summer.
“We feel extremely privileged to have been chosen as the arena in which Moroso will be displaying its furniture,” says Satu Andersson, CEO of Nordic Light Hotel. “Moroso’s intention of expressing both hospitality and reflection through furniture design corresponds closely with the way in which we see our lobby. Our lobby is a place for companionship, contemplation, dining and partying, and Moroso’s furniture will do much to reinforce these aims.”

Moroso is one of the world’s leading furniture manufacturers, and is renowned for its innovative design and its expert craftsmanship which has won numerous awards. Since the company was founded in 1952, it has worked with a whole host of well-known designers, such as Patricia Urquiola, Ron Arad, Carlo Colombo, Enrico Franzolini, Marc Newson and Toshiyuki Kita. Never before has a Scandinavian hotel filled a public space exclusively with Moroso’s furnishings.

“During Stockholm Design Week we will be showing the latest trends from Moroso,” adds Patrizia Moroso. “Stockholm is the perfect place for fresh thinking. That’s why we’ve chosen to work with Nordic Light Hotel to showcase our furniture in the right setting – a living environment in which the furniture will be used for its intended purpose.”

From the official unveiling on 9 February – and throughout Stockholm Design Week, the installation will be displayed using Moroso’s theme for this year: a flirtation with mysticism and the Orient. The furniture will then be on display in the unique Nordic light at Nordic Light Hotel throughout the spring and summer.
